GitHub Verification Plugin

This plugin allows any user to verify the ownership of a GitHub account.
This is very important because now any anon user can verify their GitHub account adding credibility to their posts and attaching their work on GitHub.
Furthermore, no need to verify people manually. In the prior Discourse instance the verifications were done manually and this was a burden. Now, example, X3 can log in with any account verify their GitHub account a post a proposal or hire devs or anything else.
Additionally this adds a layer of security since we dont need to have that many moderators and admins looking at the information stored in the server. This time around the less moderators and admins we have the more secure the platform is.
To Use this Plugin:
- Log into your account
- Go into your user settings
- Preferences
- Find GitHub Tab & Follow Instructions.
Even though this is an official Discourse Plugin and the plugin only uses public information there is always a security risk so make sure that you have 2FA for your GitHub account.
